Soisci Porchetta - The Warrior and the Healer Arc
Master Lam Kam Chuen, a Chi Kung master, martial artist and bone setter, once said in a class: when you enter the martial arts, you first learn to break bones — and then, you learn how to put them back together.
Soisci Porchetta has lived that journey in full.
She started as the kid who couldn't catch a ball. Then a single coach saw something in her nobody else had — and everything changed. What followed was a life in motion: gymnastics, Wushu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and finally Muay Thai, where she became a world champion competing across Southeast Asia.
And then, at the height of it all, the fire burnt out.
In this conversation, Soisci talks about what it really feels like to win at the highest level, what happens when the identity you've built fight by fight begins to dissolve, and the quiet inner journey that followed — through meditation, teachers in India, and a completely different relationship with her body and herself.
Today she works at the intersection of movement and inner practice, helping people of all ages build what she calls the "lazy man's training" — small daily habits with a big return, designed to last a lifetime.
A warm, honest conversation about the cost of becoming a champion, the courage it takes to let that go, and what might be waiting on the other side.
